Highland Home Omnibus 1

This Omnibus contains the first three Highland Home Novels. Included in this eBook are:
Mourning Sun
Captured Sun
Seven Days

Mourning Sun
I should have known when he walked into my life that things would never be the same. Hadn't I dreamed of him and the things he'd done before I was born? If only he weren't so fascinating, so beautiful, so much more than any other guy. Maybe then I could walk away.
Mairin Cote is a magnet for weird. Her dreams come true, she can see auras and her mother is in love with an angel. Now the monsters are finding her too. Vampires, demigods and werepanthers have flocked to this small town girl who must find a way to keep her family safe, love the man of her dreams, and navigate the shark-infested waters of Highland Home High School.

Captured Sun
My first kiss was going to be my last, but it was worth it. His cool lips, his sweet taste, they were my salvation. I would never regret it, no matter what happened.
Mairin Cote thought loving a vampire was hard, but losing him to others of his kind was worse. When the death toll in East Hampton points to a rampaging vampire, the vampires and werepanthers must form an uneasy alliance to stop the destruction. To save the love of her life, Mairin must decide if living life without Mathias is worth risking an eternity with him.

Seven Days
The pain was sharp and deep, but it was nothing compared to the anguish in Xavier's eyes. I wanted to tell him I would be okay, but the words wouldn't come. The pain kept them at bay and even if I could have spoken, I knew the words would be a lie.
Kerry Cote has a pretty normal life for a teenager. Of course normal is a relative term. Her sister dates a vampire and her boyfriend turns furry once a month, but that's not the problem. It isn't until she meets the father of the man she loves that her whole existence narrows to a mere seven days.

As a bonus, Eternal Sun, the short story of Mathias' transformation, is included at the end of this omnibus.

Are you ready for Seven Days?

You asked for it...Seven Days tells the next part of the Highland Home story from Kerry's point of view. This is a tale of Kerry and Xavier and their love.
The book will be available at Amazon and B&N in the next several days. It is already available at Smashwords
I hope you'll check it out and enjoy the story. There is still more to come! Banished Sun is next, followed by Nine Lives and Two Suns.

A good beginning

Finding the notes for Soulfinder I have been searching for made today a good day. The fact that I have time to work on it for a while today makes it even better. I'm going to push everything else back and deal with just the positive today.

On a happy note

I found tbe.notes for Soulfinder I thought I had lost. That's a story that's been pushing at me lately, but I wanted those notes. Now I have them. Yeah for me. :)

Flying Slowly

Fly is on my mind again and going in a totally different direction. It's coming slowly...very, very slowly, but I think it will come together better this way. Wish me luck.

Things on my mind

I hate to admit it, but the fear is back. With the new job and the beginning of the semester (I teach college English), I haven't had time or brain power to write. When I'm not writing, the fear that the muse will permanently desert me is suffocating. The ideas are still there, but they're buried so deeply under work stuff that I can't seem to dredge them up. I know they'll come when they're ready. I have to keep that faith.

How cool is my life?

So those who know me know that I've had jobs in the past with pretty awesome perks. Not everyone can say they've flown with the U.S. Army Parachute Team, The Golden Knights. I have the photos to prove it. AND I got to go on the flight when Bill Romanowski jumped. It was freaking AWESOME!

So now I have a job that feeds one of my addictions. I LOVE movies. Almost as much as I love books. I now get to see movies whenever I want for free. But honestly, that's not the best part. Right now I have two, double-side printed, professional prints of HP Deathly Hallows part 2 posters. I need to get them framed. I wish I could find affordable lighted frames to take advantage of the double-side printing.

Yes, I'm a geek and a nerd and I'm proud of it! How silly is it that those posters are the high point of my day today?

Hehe...my precious *pet, pet* LOL

Something running through my head...

I woke up this morning with a half-remembered dream still in my head and the following lines on my mind.

"We can't leave her, brother," he said.
"We're not leaving her. I am."

The image with those words was powerful and painful. It was one man giving in to another in the matter of loving a woman. It was that same man choosing to leave rather than fight and destroy both his brother's life and the woman they loved.

I wanted to write this down because I'd love to work the idea into something at some time. I admit I dream pretty dramatically and this was likely just that kind of dream, but it's haunting me today.

So I know it's nuts...

But when an idea hits, I have to run with it. New historical romance. Maybe I'm feeling the need for grown up characters or a little normal action instead of paranormal mess. So far, Rose and Andrew are speaking loud and clear. I'm gonna run with them.
Check back for more updates soon!
